Abstract

The presentation concerns the OHS conditions at selected works in agriculture in polish farms. To the evaluation three types of works were chosen; as a first the works in the livestock buildings were analysed (in the milking parlor), then the works at green forage collection were described. Finally, the OHS conditions for the tractor driver were discussed. The main objection of the research was to describe the agricultural works in aspect of OHS conditions; moreover, some ways to improve these conditions were proposed. To the evaluation the typical polish medium farm was chosen – it was located in Poland in Greater Poland Voivodeship, Gostyn County. An evaluation of the OHS was conducted using RISK SCORE method – it included three parameters: probability of the dangerous events, level of loses and exposure to the threats. The occupational risk in this method is a mathematical function of numbers describing the parameters. Based on the calculation, there can be occurred one level from the five levels of the risk: acceptable, small, significant, high, very high. After the first stage of the risk evaluation the corrective (or preventive) actions were proposed. Then the re-evaluation of the occupational risk assessment was done – the objection of it was to give the conclusions about the effectiveness of used actions. Based of obtained results it was conclude that at the first analyzed work there were six dangerous factors – it were hit by the cow, changeable microclimate, biological threats, falls at the same level and hits to the elements of workplace. At the second workplace (tractor driver) the farmer was exposed to following threats: the slip and fall at the same level, hits to the elements of workplace, contact with the rotational elements (with high rotational speed) and hit by the elements ejected with high speed. The very similar threats were observed for the farmer working at the green forage collection.
