Abstract

The paper presents the influence of material and construction solutions of the floor, in a wooden church, on heat exchange with the ground. The scope of the work included continuous measurements of temperature and relative humidity of the air inside and outside the building. The research was carried out in a historic wooden church in southern Poland, over a two-year period. The results obtained were used for numerical analysis, including validation and calibration of the model. Calculations were carried out based on the elementary balance method, using WUFI®plus computer software. The results show that the material and construction solutions used have a significant impact on the formation of heat transfer with the ground. The object with a wooden floor was characterized by higher values of heat flow with the ground. The heat flow to the ground was 1005 kWh, while the gain was 47 kWh.
