Abstract

The dissertation deals with the issue of landscape potential for tourism in the context of ecosystem services (RES). The location of Lednice-Valtice Area in the South Moravian region (Czech Republic) was chosen as the territory of interest. The aim is to design an expert model for evaluating the landscape potential, expressed by recreational ecosystem services, using Geographical information system (GIS) tools and a combination of decision-making approaches. Thus, attention is focused on the area of recreational ecosystem services, in which tourism is classified. The teoretical part is focused on overview of current tools that are used to assessing the landscape’s potential for tourism. There will be also carried out a search containing an overview of professional studies that deal with similar issues and use geographic information systems and other tools. In the practical part, the supply and demand for RES will e evaluated. The number of accommodation facilities, the number of tourist attractions, cycle paths, etc. will be evaluated and the questioning of tourists about their preferences will also be used. The obtained values will then be introduced into the created expert model, which will be constructed using decision-making processes.
