Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an integral part of modern engineering and technical sciences, supporting automation, decision-making, and the development of innovative solutions across many fields. In mechanical engineering and manufacturing, AI enables predictive maintenance by analyzing data from sensors, it is possible to detect potential machine failures before they occur. Optimization of manufacturing processes allows for dynamic real time adjustment of machine parameters, increasing efficiency and reducing resource consumption. Modern CAD systems integrated with AI assist in design by suggesting the best construction solutions based on the analysis of multiple variants. In materials engineering, the use of AI brings significant benefits at many stages, starting from the design of new materials, accelerating research, and optimizing production processes. AI based models also make it possible to predict the behavior of materials under different environmental conditions, which translates into greater durability and reliability of products. In civil engineering, artificial intelligence analyzes data from IoT sensors embedded in structures, enabling real time monitoring of the technical condition of bridges, buildings, or tunnels. AI also accelerates the simulation analysis of loads and material behavior. Increasingly, algorithms are also supporting construction project management from scheduling and logistics to cost optimization. In electrical engineering and automation, AI enables adaptive control, with systems automatically adjusting control parameters to changing operating conditions. In robotics, autonomous units are being developed that learn from previous experiences, both in industrial and mobile applications. In the energy sector, the Smart Grid concept uses AI for intelligent energy network management, demand forecasting, and energy distribution optimization. The dynamic development of artificial intelligence is transforming the face of modern engineering, opening up new possibilities for optimization, automation, and innovation in almost every area of technology.
