Abstract
The first zoos were established just to breed wild animals and show them to the public. Today, zoos play a key role in global conservation and sustainable development. Environmental conservation education is one of the most important tasks of modern zoos, alongside the protection of endangered species and scientific research. Educational activities are influencing visitors around the world, giving hope to improve the bad situation of environment and biodiversity and protect it for future generations.
