Abstract
The intensification and conversion of agriculture to modern conditions requires the development and implementation of new innovative solutions in plant research and breeding.
The growth in total factor productivity is far below the target value. Therefore, the use of innovative agronomic, breeding and biotechnological solutions is necessary to close the gap.
New innovative solutions such as molecular breeding, genomic selection and genome editing will be presented and discussed
